FTIF-Templeton Global Bond and Global Total Return

Both FTIF – Templeton Global Bond and FTIF – Templeton Global Total Return fund are managed by Dr Michael Hasenstab, who won Morningstar Inc.’s world-bond category. As indicated in my earlier article, the different between the two funds is that: Global Bond is pure sovereign bond; Global Total Return is 70% sovereign and 30% corporate – that explained why the performance of both funds are identical to each other.

AllianzGI US High Yield Fund

Allianz Global Investors, one of the world’s largest asset management with AUM of USD2.04 trillion, is launching a new fund targeting ‘high yield’ bond. The fund manager is Douglas G. Forsyth. It is probably the first and only Singapore dollar hedged high yield fund. This will be a new set up fund because the original fund is US domiciled, i.e. not available to non-US citizens.

Long/short Mutual Funds
