David X. Li who posses master’s degree in economics from Nankai University, MBA from Laval University in Quebec, master’s in actuarial science and a PhD in statistics both from Ontario’s University of Waterloo, published a paper in 2000 in the Journal of Fixed Income titled “On Default Correlation: A Copula Function Approach.”.  According to this article, it was the formula in the paper that ‘killed’ Wall Street!
